Gallery Q Exhibit Opens TONIGHT!

'Black White Red Monoprint' from Roberta Lane and Julsbeads - yummy!

Wish you all were here.

No, really. I wish you were.
I can see clearly now with 'After the Storm' by Ann Waisbrot

You have all been so excited for me and supportive that I can't help but feel giddy. And blessed. Truly, deeply blessed by your friendship. Because I have the BEST followers on the planet! Plus those of you who do this too would totally understand the blood, sweat and more than a few tears that went into all of this. I can sigh with relief, but that is really just taking a deep breath for the next big thing.

Twisting, twirling pen and ink by MaryEllen Pollock and the beads by Dora Schubert

I rushed over yesterday and took some really {craptastic} photos of the displays. These will at least give you an idea of the lay of the land.

'Safekeeping' by Ellie Honl flanked by Lola and Bessie standing guard of all things precious

I was really surprised {and pleased} that I could take up more than just one window. I have almost the entire front half of the gallery. {Squee!}

The window grabs 'em and beckons them in with 'Loose Goose' by Brenda Wenberg and Kerry Bogert's magnificent beads!

The Suzuki Institute is on campus here at the UW-Stevens Point this week and that is the reason that I already have ~$800++ in sales since Tuesday. One woman from Maine {Maine!} bought 8 pieces for sales of nearly $600. {That woman will be getting her own box of chocolates when I mail them to her at the close of the show!} I am hoping she comes back. And brings friends.

'Siljan Glade' by Ann Singsaas and the inspiration pieces (great flash photography!)

I will hopefully have more pictures of the event {if I can find someone willing to take them} that I can share with you next week.

'Bittersweet' by Ann Singsaas with vines climbing everywhere

But between my 2 hour massage this morning {thanks, Al!} and my hair appointment in about an hour, I felt the need to MAKE MORE JEWELRY. Unfortunately, I don't think there can ever been enough. {Don't worry, I only managed two very simple pieces. But I am bringing them with just in case. }

'Lookin' Good' by Brenda Wenberg and a colorful interpretation called 'It's a Riot'

Thanks for all your well wishes, your birthday shout outs and your deep appreciation for what I have done with this show. It means the world to me!

Tulips and butterflies with Ann Waisbrot and Jen Selwyn

If you could have a party in your honor, what would you serve?
Who would be there?
Where would you hold it?

Do tell!

That's me in the window with 'Red Ponies' by Ann Singsaas
Enjoy the day!

This looks simply WONDERFUL!!!!!
They did a superb job with the displays and props complimenting your pieces. (Did you have to provide all the stands?)
Great about the sales, too.
Wishing you many more.

Erin you did it! We followers are very proud - the gallery and your work looks fantastic and I wish we could be there. I would love to have a party to meet all my blogland friends (a bit hard when I live 24hr plane trip away). It wouldn't really matter what was served as we'd all be too busy talking, although some nice bubbly woud be good. All the best with the show - you don't need luck wishes :)

Enjoy yourself tonight! Everything looks fantastic! Have fun!

That is the coolest idea ever!--displaying the jewelry pieces with the art they were inspired by!! It would enhance both the art on the wall and the jewelry inspired by it at the same time! I've thought that would be fun in a booth at an art fair or something, if a piece was inspired by nature or some other piece of art, to include a little photo with the piece. Hope it is great fun!!! and wildly profitable. Congrats on such a labor- and passion-intensive achievement! No wonder you're spent!

Dearest Erin,

Firstly -- I now fully realize am in the presence of artistic genius! I loved your stuff before of course, but seeing it here displayed with nothing short of divine talent -- is such nurturing breath for the eyes and soul!

I find your pix actually NON-craptastic. Your photographer's eye shines through.

How very very very happy I am for you -- and what a wonderful lady you are!!

And -- Maine shoppers ROCK! You know I grew up in the Canadian province that adjoins Maine? Yep -- New Brunswick, Canada.

Okay -- I told you all my words will be inadequate for your awesomeness. So I'll just end this with a...

Oh My God ... it looks AMAZING!!! AMAZING! So elegant and classy and wonderful. You must be feeling so good ... and to have sold $800 ($600 to one lady --- I think you have a true fan!!!) must feel so gratifying.

I so wish I could attend in person. But even your "craptastic" photos look amazing.

Well done!!! I'm so so proud of you.

Beautiful work, Erin, and I'm happy for you.

I wish I were there, too.

Erin, I'm so happy and proud of you. It's a beautiful exhibit.

I would serve all vegan food, exhibit all my "craptastic" past failures, everyone is invited, at the Guggenheim. Black tie optional.

Cindy said...

Erin, I can't wait to hear how it went!!!! I enjoyed going through these pictures here...as if I was strolling through the gallery myself. What a major accomplishment, really. So much hard work and love poured in to these art pieces. I just know it was a success...and way to go on those sales that were coming in already last week! So darn proud of ya...what a dream come true.

Woo Hoo Miss Erin! Everything looks gorgeous. I hope all went well and wished that I could've been there to celebrate with you. If I could only add 8 more hours to the day..... Congrats on your success! I knew you could do it.

Hope you got some rest....and a belated VERY Happy Birthday to you!

Bead Happy!
