30 Words :: Feathered Friend

Swooping, diving among treetops,
tempted by the last crabapples of the season.
You break
to catch your breath,
watching me watch you.
Take flight, feathered friend!
Winter's icy grasp impends.

Great poem and photos! I missed watching our usual nest of robins this year. Saw a beautiful blue jay this morning - but he was too quick!

I love the cute bird with the big belly. He must be getting ready for a long winter.
