30 Words::Soup is Simmering on BTW

Ribbons and silk.
Copper chain and washers.
Color and pattern.
Beads galore.
Special treats from Germany...
Marzipan and Nougat.
Thimble, Nutcracker, cologne.
Gummy bears gobbled up by 10 year old.

Bead Soup is on!

Special thanks to Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for being the hostess with the mostest and to my delightful partner Stefanie Teufel from Germany and her beautiful blog Stefanies Sammelsurium
Come back on Saturday, February 26th when I unveil my Bead Soup creation and provide links to the 209 other jewelry designers who are participating from around the globe!

But since you stopped by... do you have any ideas for me on what to do with all this bounty!? Since it is 1:01 in the AM on Bead Table Wednesday and this is the first time I have taken all the pieces out of the package, I could really use the help! Gah! The Procrastinator is in the building! Whatever I make will be created with magic dust, that is for sure!
;-)

Enjoy the day!

it will pull together - the muses will come running once they see this beautiful assortment of beads and baubles! gummy bears? i think they would have been gobbled up by mom! what a very generous partner you have, and one who really has taken the spirit of the event and made it quite special...

I would be happy to help you eat the treats from Germany :) I miss the Gummi Bears from over there (we lived in Frankfurt and Munich) and boy do I miss the candy, desserts and Spazi! You did receive a lot of goodies, but you will come up with something wonderful I know it. And how do you function at 1:00am - lots of coffee???? Have fun and I can't wait to see what you create.

What a colorful collage! Wow, there are some lovely things here, and did I see some chocolate? That little owl is sweet.

Can't wait to see what you make with your bead soup.

I have been procrastinating too. My bead soup is on the dining room table so that I can rearrange things every time I walk by. It's maybe a commitment issue :-). What ever you make will be stunning. Your designs are always lovely.

Hmmmm...everything looks super juicy! So, go with it and add some additional brights...Love the beaded bead and those brass(?) chuncky beads. Yummy!
I know you will pull it all together...a little sprinkle of fairy dust to you.
Bead Happy!

I know without a doubt you will come up with something incredible. Ribbon, chain, beads, and those beautiful beaded beads--it'll be a show stopper! CJ

Oh look at it all! Stefanie is absolutely amazing! I love the colours.

That little man is so odd and different. I couldn't resist starting with him. A necklace. Combined with the stripey silk ribbon (I want some of that one, my goodness), the copper chain and some of the copper rings, and some more beads working with it all.

Then I would go for the beaded bead (she is SO clever with those) and combine it with the big african brass beads. A bold bracelet maybe? Or a necklace pendant if they are tooo large. Joined with the black/golden silk in the top left photo. Yum!

I love Stefanies jewellery and her taste in supplies! And the candy/sweets are just an extra treat, lucky you.

Hi Erin, It's good to see I am not the only procrastinator -- I started mine after 7pm this evening (but the soup has been stweing between my ears). I love getting out all the "stuff" and seeing what plays well together, then the muse takes over.

Your soup looks AMAZINGLY inspiring here! Two of my favourite bloggers paired together - I am so excited to see what you do with each other's materials. You certainly look like you've both had wonderful ingredients to create with!

And PS, my bead soup is still very much in ingredient form and not jewellery....I think that magic pixie dust is going to have to help us both :-) x

Hi Erin,
I can tell you exactly what I would do...
with the sweets ;)
When it comes to the soup... I have procrastinated my bead soup, too, and there's still a mess on my bead table... but not one finished piece of jewelry, though my partner Nicki has sent to me most beautiful beads and components, as you know.
The soup Stefanie has sent to you is amazing, and I know whatever you will come up with, it will be a show stopper. Can't wait to see it!!!
