30 Words :: Good Lighting

Send a headshot, she said.
*sigh*
Posing
I notice
dark eye-craters,
a deep canyon dimple
trails of tears, triumphs
criss-crossing.
 Embracing my topography.
Loving my landscape.
Good lighting changes everything.

You are gorgeous, lighting or no! (I'm in love with that necklace also.)

There is something to be said for embracing yourself, imperfections and all. I loved the poem.

Love the picture and love the feeling behind your words. You are way to young to be that introspective! Artists... :)

Beautiful pictures of you, Erin! I like the fancy hair and I have said before I LOVE that necklace. I think it's perfect on you.

There's a lot to be said for us all loving and embracing our own landscapes... and that of those around us.

Thanks for sharing and for hosting!

You are a beautiful lady, and it's not just the lighting. Your beauty comes from within. Like my mama always said, "Pretty is as pretty does."

I don't think you need to worry about good lighting yet, Erin, Your spirit shines through those eyes! Just wait till you get to my point in time. There are some things even good lighting can't fix! LOL Nice shot, great thoughts.

You look beautiful! Love the creative collage, too. It is hard to put ourselves out there but you did it well. Shine on!

Embrace the topography of your face no matter what the lighting is. It is difficult on those gray days to see the beauty. But your inner light can chase away the shadows.

Beautiful picture.

It is amazing how critical we are of our own features, and how others don't see the things we see.

Ahhh, window light (from the north) is always such great portrait light...you did good, and so beautiful!!

Beautiful picture, lovely lady. Isn't it interesting how critical we are of ourselves, yet how quick we are to see the beauty in others? The most beautiful part of us should be our hearts and that you have in spades as well!

Those are some good pictures of you! I know what you mean though. Sometimes I look at a "good picture" of me with good lighting and see all the imperfections. I think that's what makes us beautiful though. That we are reminded that we are not fixed things, stuck in one phase, but ever-evolving and ever-changing. We are beautiful even more because of where we have been and where we will go!
