30 Words :: Like a Duck

{Ducks Paddle by Art by Lia on Etsy}

Like a duck
I rarely get ruffled
troubles roll like water down my back
but underneath it all
I keep on paddling fiercely
just to keep afloat
Like a duck

How are you 'like a duck'?

Do others see your paddling or is it hidden from view?

Can anything ruffle your feathers?

Do tell!

Enjoy the day!

I try not to let people see me paddling upstream. LOL. I also try to allow the everyday things to roll off my feathers, however, there are some things in this world that ruffle me and you can here me squawking loud n clear.

Have a great day

First I love your background!

Any one close to me usually notices my paddling even before I do other than them it is usually kept hidden from the rest of the world!

As for ruffled feathers umm.....have you seen feather #36? It seems to have gotten lost among the tattered mess.

Truth be told, I don't know if I am anything like a duck! I do get my feathers ruffled easily, but I don't know how much of that I show. My biggest problem is being oversensitive to things. I get my feeling s hurt too easily so I try my best to be extra nice to everyone, hoping I won't get hurt.

I like to quack like a duck at my kids because it always makes them giggle :)

Although life has taught me to not get ruffled too often, most of it in the end in small stuff really. When it's big, you'll see me paddle, my way of venting!

Hi Erin! I'm safely back from Mexico.

Well, since I have ducks, and by the way that painting is just beautiful, I will have to say I'm a lot like a duck because I make a lot of noise all the time, constantly talking, constantly feeling the need to fill the spaces with my noise. Now, on the flip side, the worst part of owning ducks is their incredible crapping skills. They crap constantly. In that way, I am not like a duck. Thank God, Mexico did not do me in, in that way.

I never seem to stop paddling and any onlooker can see me go. My feathers get ruffles, sequins and anything else that will make them sparkle! I like the idea of being a duck!

How am I like a duck? my husband says I quack too much and too loud. That aside, I do not let others see me paddling furiously, and my feathers do not get ruffled very easily, some issues ruffle them no matter what, bit others I let roll down my back. Thank you for stopping by to comment on my FB question, I do agree with you about time. But I feel I need to make the time for some things and wondering if this is something should take time to do to market my jewelry. As you can tell I am not sure and wanted to hear what others had to say. Thank you, enjoy your weekend.

Love how you find the most perfect pictures for your subject! I've had experience with ducks, too. When I was about 10 years old, we lived on a farm and that was one of my chores, feeding the little quackers! They eat a lot!! These days, i would say that what ruffles my feathers the most is people who try to control my thinking and actions. They want me to do everything their way. There are so many control freaks! So that gets me quacking, and 'm not afraid any more to let them know and I avoid the experience as much as possible. Much healthier :) So, yes, I think I can be seen paddling and making big concentric circles around myself. Marie Noel..you sound like such a sweetheart, maybe you should quack out once in a while too. Erin, you really got me going, how did you think of such a subject!!?

Lately, my feathers have been far too ruffled and I'm pretty sure that everyone in my vicinity can see that I'm paddling pretty dang hard to get things done. I think my plate is way too full!!! :)
